Sam Toth is a licensed and certified Physician Assistant in the state of Tennessee. He has been working with orthopaedic patients since 2020 and joined Orthopaedic Specialists in 2025. Sam acts as Dr. Downs’ Physician
Assistant in the clinic, assists him in the operating room, and cares for patients in a variety of hospitals in the Nashville area. Sam manages patients in all areas of orthopaedics, with an emphasis on sports medicine, total joint replacements and foot and ankle conditions. He sees patients at all Orthopaedic Specialists offices.
Sam was born and raised in Northwest Indians near the suburbs of Chicago and completed his undergraduate education at Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. While simultaneously working as an athletic trainer, Sam earned his Masters in Sports Injury Management from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. Sam’s athletic training career sparked his interest in orthopedics and led him to complete his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at South College in Nashville. Sam is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants.
Sam resides in Nashville with his wife and son. He enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new restaurants around the city, playing golf, watching sports, and cooking. Sam is eager to treat patients and get them back to the active lifestyles they enjoy.
